Response to june 1981
Look down at my son's post of June 26.. "Reminds me..."..............I think
You ARE 30, I 'm around to hear YOU saying about me that I was a good mom & a good grandma. and you have plenty of reason to look back & see all my shortcomings.
I pretty much dropped the all in a lot of areas, & simply didnt come through in many others.
Did I see it at the time? Wake up in the middle of the night & realize what a great kid you were & deserving of so much more? The educational opportunities, social environment changes I could have provided, but could not, did not work hard enough for, did not make right decisions for --- There's an OCEAN out there with my name on it. And you give me reason to be proud in spite of that. Because YOU are YOU & YOUR decisions & motivations and accomplishments & grace & strength are not mine. The "memorex" mind is a good thing. Filters out the noise & scratches, makes the clear high notes sound stellar. God does bless us.
