The parable of the straw

Here is a straw.
Now pinch it closed.
Now breathe through it.
Every breath you take through it is extra hard.

You love and cherish me and willingly want to do what I ask for the good of our family unit.
I say, You will promise to love me and obey me forever, or you will get nothing.
In order to love me you must breathe through that pinched straw.
Forever.
No matter what you are doing.
Playing.
Working.
Driving.
Sick.
Healthy.
Happy.
Sad.

Everything.

Keep breathing through that straw.

Remember.

YOu promised.

How can I do anything breathing like this?
How can I work effectively, Make a decent living for you and me?
How can I grow as a person, breathing like this?

You promised. YOu will. You will do it.

Tell me, How is it possible to live and work and grow in this condition?
What will happen to the young man?
His work?
His family unit?
Have the partner's goals been achieved?
Is everything they want going to come to them?
Did the young man make the promise willingly?
Did he consider all factors?
Was he given a choice?
Was he able to offer alternatives to achieve the same goal?

What have we learned?
